Electronic monitoring

The purpose of the monitoring:

For security and asset protection purposes, along with monitoring of equipment and machines owned by the company.

Authorization for processing:

Monitoring is carried out to protect the legitimate interests of Terra Eininga for security and asset protection purposes and to monitor equipment and machinery.

Types of personal information:

Live streaming cameras are designed to make it easier for staff and managers to have an overview of the work area. We work with footage that is created during the monitoring, where you can see individuals who have passed through the monitored area and their activities.

Recordings can be used to:

  • Identify the causes of deviations related to safety (accidents, damages, incidents, near misses) and asset management, both in terms of equipment and personnel, in order to prevent their recurrence.
  • If criminal behavior is suspected.
  • Analyze the causes of damage to property and equipment, in order to reduce such damage in the future.
  • Analyze equipment performance and failure causes.

Recipients:

All footage is accessible to certain stakeholders at Terra Einingum who have access to the monitoring due to their work. Material with information about accidents or criminal acts can also be handed over to the police. Material can also be handed over to an insurance company if it is necessary for an insurance case. Footage retention time:

Footage is stored for 30 days and then deleted. However, recordings can be preserved longer if it is necessary for a claim to be defined, presented or defended due to a court case or other such legal requirements. Footage may also be stored if it is believed that it can be used in education in order to increase safety in the working areas of Terra Eininga. The use of such footage is only done with the written consent of those who appear on it.

Rights of individuals:

You have the right to view footage where you are seen. You also have the right to receive a copy of such footage provided that it does not infringe the rights and freedoms of others. In other respects, your rights according to III. chapter of law no. 90/2018 on personal protection and processing of personal information, cf. further provisions in III. chapter of Regulation (EU) 2016/679.

The right to file a complaint with Personal Protection:

Those who are subject to electronic monitoring have the right to file a complaint with the Personal Protection Agency if they believe that the processing of their personal information is contrary to the Personal Protection Act.
